John Farnham is still regarded by his peers as the best singer Australia has produced and indicative of that was hit last ARIA performance, which had all demographics completely mesmerised. Drawing on the phenomenal songbook from his stellar four decade-long career, 19-time ARIA Award winner and all-round top bloke, John Farnham continues to be “The Voice” of Australian music, thrilling audiences with his onstage charisma and those unforgettable vocals. Whether it’s the hits from his landmark 80s albums Whispering Jack and Age Of Reason like You’re The Voice, Two Strong Hearts, Pressure Down, A Touch Of Paradise, Chain Reaction, That’s Freedom or his earlier material Sadie The Cleaning Lady, One and Raindrops Keep Falling On My Head, there are few Australian performers who are as adored as ‘Farnsy’. For a man who has sold more tickets, more albums and notched up more achievements than any other Australian musician, performing live is still an absolute joy. This concert will once again feature Farnham’s long-time, celebrated band, featuring Chong Lim (musical director), Brett Garsed (guitar) and favourite backing vocalists Lindsay Field and Lisa Edwards.
The Black Sorrows are one of the country’s most respected and enduring bands. They continue to tour successfully year after year, delivering their special blend of blues and roots music to fans across the country. Any examination of The Black Sorrows inevitably comes down to one person. Joe Camilleri (singer, songwriter, saxophonist, producer and the brains behind The Black Sorrows) is one of the most genuinely talented figures in Australian music. He has celebrated over 50 years in the industry and has earned the reputation as a hard working musician who never fails to deliver and knows how to connect with his audience – he is a performer with an undeniable energy and love of it all. Since their formation in 1984, The Black Sorrows have toured Australia more times than anyone can remember, played sell out shows across Europe, won the ARIA for Best Band‚ and sold more than a million albums worldwide.
When he was 16 he inveigled his way into a Sydney hotel to hang out with the Rolling Stones. From that day on, Richard Clapton knew he was going to be a rock star. It’s now almost 50 years since that fateful day -years filled with a lifetime of incredible experiences, outrageous good times and a catalogue of iconic and timeless songs. Through the glory years of rock ‘n’ roll, in cities as varied as London, Berlin, Sydney, Los Angeles and Paris, Richard forged his own career and built up a significant body of work while living, loving and partying with the biggest names in the Australian and international music world. For 40 years, Richard Clapton has been, above all else, a songwriter-a wry observer of human behaviour and an astute commentator on the Australian condition. His best songs- Deep Water, The Best Years of Our Lives, Goodbye Tiger, Glory Road, Lucky Country, Girls on the Avenue, Trust Somebody and Capricorn Dancer – capture the essence of this country and the meaning of our lives like few others.

Following up …ish with the multi-platinum second album The Otherside, a self-titled third album, and countless live shows at home and abroad, the last couple of decades have certainly earned 1927 legendary status. Not content to rest on their laurels, after more than ten years, 1927 released a new studio album Generation in 2013.
Cutting their teeth on the streets of Melbourne’s eclectic music scene in the late 90’s was the best apprenticeship for four local musicians; Dan Hall, Tim Watson, Tim Wild and Jason Singh. Getting together to write and record a couple of days a week is when Taxiride honed their distinctive sound. Upon hearing the band’s demos, Seymour Stein, the president of US label Sire Records immediately signed the band. Stein’s previous signings included Madonna, Talking Heads and The Ramones. The enormous success of Taxiride is well documented. Very few bands can lay claim to have had the impact the four members had in Australia and internationally. Double platinum number 1 albums, 7 top 40 hit singles including “Get Set’, “Everywhere You Go”, “Creepin’ Up Slowly”, “How I Got This Way”,“Oh Yeah” and an ARIA Award.
